We are an adventurous British/Tanzanian family who have proudly established a captivating new resort nestled in the lush environs of Mikumi National Park. Our journey began with a transformative visit to Mikumi in 2019, igniting our passion to create our own haven amidst nature’s embrace. By October of that year, we acquired 11 acres of untouched land, marking the inception of our dream.

Driven by a desire for a better life and future for our three children, we embarked on the ambitious task of crafting our ideal retreat. Every structure within our resort has been meticulously designed by us, evolving with each step of our journey. Our commitment to local craftsmanship is evident in every detail, with all wooden furniture crafted by skilled artisans in our on-site workshop. Even the bricks and concrete posts used in construction have been meticulously handmade on the premises.

At Atupele, we take pride in offering luxurious accommodations suitable for families and individuals with disabilities. From single guests to large groups, rooms (excluding the hostel) feature opulent four-poster beds, spacious verandas adorned with outdoor seating for relaxation, private en-suite bathrooms, and convenient tea and coffee facilities. Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in wheelchair-friendly ramps provided for your convenience.

Furthermore, we are delighted to introduce our hostel, thoughtfully designed to accommodate school trips or larger groups. Divided into two rooms, it offers segregation options for boys and girls, ensuring a comfortable stay for all. With 40 bunk beds and two expansive bathrooms equipped with European-style amenities, including toilets, sinks, and shower facilities, our hostel provides a welcoming retreat for group travelers and backpackers.
